What is the Gardiner Scholarship?
The Gardiner Scholarship Program, formerly known as PLSA Scholarships, is used to pay for a more personalized educational program for your student. Gardiner Scholarships in Tampa provide tuition for eligible private schools like Tampa Bay Christian Academy, as well as other products and services the students may need.
Who Qualifies for the Gardiner Scholarship?
The Gardiner Scholarship is a program for children with special needs in Florida. If your child has down syndrome, autism, cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy, or another disability, they qualify for a Gardiner Scholarship. Children must also be a Florida resident, and either eligible to be enrolled in kindergarten through 12th grade in a Florida Public school or aged 3 or 4 by September 1st the year you apply.
What Does the Gardiner Scholarship Cover?
In addition to covering tuition for eligible private schools, the Gardiner scholarship can also cover the following:
- Specialized services like speech or occupational therapy
- Instructional materials
- Contributions to a prepaid college account
- Other education expenses
