If your budget is the only thing that is keeping your child from a Tampa Bay Christian Academy education, then you can rest assured that there's a solution. Students from families of all socioeconomic levels are welcome to attend school here through various forms of school financial aid and a number of private school scholarships. In Tampa, FL, we are glad to offer your children the education they need without hurting your family's income.
We are fortunate to live in a state with quality school choice programs that allow parents the freedom and flexibility to choose the best place for their children to attend. Some scholarships are offered to specific groups—such as children with disabilities—while others are available for everyone at a certain income level. These allow us to educate children whose parents may not be able to afford the tuition on their own. Our staff will be happy to help you find more information if necessary.
Learn More about Our Private School Vouchers
The ugly myth that a private school education is only for elite rich kids couldn't be further from the truth. Our student body is composed of children from a wide range of socioeconomic backgrounds, thanks in large part to the forms of financial aid available. Although they are not technically vouchers, this is a term that is often used.
The Florida Tax Credit Scholarships issued by Step Up for Students and AAA Scholarships offer scholarships for families meeting certain financial guidelines that enable them to choose the education that is right for their student. The McKay and Gardiner Scholarships offer scholarships for students with learning disabilities, Individualized Education Plans (IEP), or a specific medical diagnosis. Our staff would love to help you find the scholarship that works for you.
Gardiner & McKay Scholarships for Special Needs
We're proud to be a Christian school that welcomes all students, and we happily accept student financial aid designed for those with learning disabilities, Individualized Education Plans (IEP), or a specific medical diagnosis. Thousands of McKay Scholarships are awarded every year to students with IEPs for learning disabilities and other special needs, and parents may apply these to the school of their choosing. Given our private school's commitment to providing programs for Special Needs students, we're sure to be a good fit for your family.
If your child does not have an IEP or is otherwise ineligible for McKay awards, the Gardiner Scholarship program is an alternative worth considering. This allows you to personalize your child's education plan by channeling funds into various resources. Students with disabilities such as Down syndrome, autism, cerebral palsy, or muscular dystrophy qualify for Gardiner. This school financial aid program, formerly known as PLSA Scholarships, can be put toward everything from school to therapy to technology and savings for college.
